Lisbon travel diary #1: Conference days & gala dinner

EN: I’ll continue my Lisbon travel diary with the job related part, which might be not so exciting, however that’s the reason why I was there. And on the other hand, I know that you’re also interested in PhD life… 🙂 So I landed in Lisbon Monday evening, and had my poster presentations on Wednesday, which was both an advantage and a bit of a disadvantage, hehe 😀 Like always, I had plenty of things…

Hello, Lisbon!

EN: Kisses from Lisbon! 🙂 I guess you’re not surprised (and I think I already mentioned) that it’s another trip related to my PhD, since I’m attending an international conference 😛 I arrived yesterday evening, so I didn’t have time for sightseeing so far, but I’m having a couple more days here, don’t worry 😛 Today I was staying at the conference and we also tested the hotel gym with Peter, my supervisor 😛 😀…

Tour de Balaton

EN: Lilla is my fitgirl sister which means that we do many sporty activities together, and lately we’ve been planning to go on a bicycle tour around the Lake Balaton 🙂 Since it’s conference season, I’m often on the go, so the previous weeks were quite a mess and the upcoming ones also seem to be similar, haha 😀 This is why we picked last weekend to complete those 230 kms! 😛 On Saturday we…

Besides this, they are well…

Ski day in Eplény

EN: Well, what happens if I decide to visit one of those ski slopes after 10 years (or 11, if I remember well…)? 😀 Now you know that I’m not a regular skiing person, I was only once in Murau as a high school  student, but I still remember how much I enjoyed it 🙂 Since then, I rarely had enough time and money at the same time, hehe 😀 But finally, Lilla invited me…

Plitvice

EN: Accidentally, but 2017 happened to be the year of traveling for me (which I do not regret at all, hehe 😛 :D).  I have no idea why, but lately I’m more into getaways to beautiful places close to nature, hiking and such random trips, so visiting Plitvice Lakes National Park was on my bucket list for a while 🙂 Since winter and cold weather doesn’t mean any problem to me, I booked my place…
