EN: After many injuries and having 2 months break from running, last week finally I could attend the first running competition of the year, so you can guess that I couldn’t wait for the Polar-Fitbalance Beach Run on Saturday 🙂 Instead of going hardcore, this time I decided to stay cautious and chose the 5k, even though I prefer longer distances 🙂 However, it was a very smart decision, since only a few days before the competition, I managed to break one of my ribs :O
Anyway, I decided to attend the competition and while running, I also tested a Polar V800 watch, which helped me a lot to follow my pace, the distance and time 🙂
The weather was extremely hot and humid, so it wasn’t easy to run in 30 degrees, but despite all inconveniences, I was very happy to be able to run and compete, especially that I managed to win my category!!! 🙂 After the award ceremony, we just spent the whole day at the beach, enjoying the summer weather and also visited Beach Body fitness event organized by BioTech USA 😛
HU: Múlt héten nagy nehezen sor került az idei év első futóversenyére, amit nem kellett sérülés miatt lemondanom (bár nem sokon múlt, ugyanis pár nappal előtte sikeresen elrepesztettem az egyik bordámat, no comment… :D). Közel két hónapos kihagyás után végre úgy tűnik, tudok futni, így nagy lelkesedéssel be is neveztünk Lillával a múlt heti Polar-Fitbalance Beach Run-ra 🙂 Elővigyázatossági okokból úgy döntöttem, csak az 5 km-es távon indulok, ami a bordás balesetemet tekintve nagyon ötletnek bizonyult, persze utóbbi bekövetkezéséről nem tudhattam… 😀 A verseny ideje alatt egyébként teszteltem is egy V800-as órát, ami nagy segítségemre volt (bár nem állítottam le időben, úgyhogy 23 perc körül alakult az időm, ahogy az Endomondo is mutatja :)). 30 fokban, elég kemény páratartalomban nem volt egyszerű dolgunk, de még ha kicsit szenvedős részek is voltak benne, nagyon jól esett futni és versenyezni, nem beszélve arról, hogy sikerült elhoznom a női mezőny első helyét! 🙂 Utána már csak a strandolás volt hátra, illetve átnéztünk a BioTech USA által szervezett Beach Body rendezvényre is 😉
