EN: The latest stop of my autumn conference season was Pécs, where I attended the Medical Conference for PhD Students and Experts of Clinical Sciences international conference, to give a talk and a poster presentation as well 🙂 Like always, I gave my presentations in different research topics in English (fortunately I have several topics and lots of results to choose from 😛 :D).
Probably I haven’t mentioned this part, but I really like conferences due to the following: on one hand it’s a great opportunity for presenting yourself, giving a talk and networking and on the other hand giving a great talk always feels like a big achievement and gives you some extra motivation to keep up the good work! 🙂 It’s also fun to travel somewhere for work, this is why I always go for a getaway if I attend a conference in a different city 😛 This time the conference took place on Saturday and I didn’t have to do anything on Sunday, so we took a train to Villány, which was on my bucket list for a while 😛
By the way, it’s conference time again, so I took a train after work and arrived to Veszprém just an hour ago and I’m posting from the hotel right now 😛 Tomorrow I’m giving a talk at a meeting of the Reaction Kinetics and Photochemistry Working Group of the National Academy of Sciences. After my presentation I’m going to meet Nati (it’s been a while), and maybe we’ll look around a little, since I haven’t been in Veszprém for a while! 🙂
HU: Az őszi konferenciaszezonom legutóbbi állomása Pécs volt, ahol a Medical Conference for PhD Students and Experts of Clinical Sciences nemzetközi konferencián volt egy prezentációm, illetve egy poszterbemutatóm. Mint általában, itt is két külön témát mutattam be a két előadáson, angol nyelven (hála Istennek van miből válogatni a témákat és az eredményeket illetően :))
Talán erről még ilyen aspektusban nem írtam, de konferenciákat több szempontból is szeretem 🙂 Egyrészt szakmailag nagyon jó lehetőség bemutatkozni, előadni, kapcsolatokat építeni, másrészt egy jól sikerült előadás nagy sikerélmény tud lenni, és szuper motivációt adhat a folytatáshoz 🙂 Nem beszélve arról, hogy jól esik néha kimozdulni a hétköznapokban és menni valamerre 😛 Ha már itt tartunk, az utóbbi időben rászoktam arra, hogy ha Pesten kívül konferenciázok és van rá lehetőségem, akkor felfedezem a környéket 🙂 Mivel a MedPécs szombaton volt és a vasárnapom szabad volt, így most Villányt céloztuk meg, ahová már régóta el szerettem volna jutni! 🙂
Per pillanat egyébként épp Veszprémből írok Nektek, ahová nemrég érkeztem meg, ugyanis holnap előadok a Magyar Tudományos Akadémia Reakciókinetikai és Fotokémiai Munkabizottságának Ülésén, amivel egyben zárjuk is a konferenciaszezont (tudtommal…bár sosem lehet tudni… :D). Utána Natival ebédelünk és kávézunk egyet mert már ezer éve nem láttam, és lehet hogy mászkálunk is egy kicsit, ugyanis Veszprémben is nagyon rég voltam! 🙂
